We will be having a potluck this year. Here are some things to consider.
– Anyone with a fever or Covid-19 symptoms should not attend.
– For those with underlying health issues, the July 4th picnic this year might not be a good option for you.
– It is OK for families to bring their own picnic food this year and we want to encourage you to do so if that is the one thing you need to do to feel comfortable to fellowship with others at the park this year.
– This year the potluck serving lines will have plexiglass over the food items. This sneeze guard is being designed for adults to use (age 13 on up). Children under the age of 13 can accompany a guardian or parent as long as their height allows the proper functioning of the sneeze guard. We will only serve on one side of the tables.
– We suggest that for families that Mom and/or Dad go through the line and pick up family servings of food for their family Amish style and serve their family at the picnic tables.
– We are asking everyone going through the food line to use hand sanitizer before and after the food line. Please be careful not to touch your face when you are going through the food line.
– Nitrile gloves and face masks will be available for use also if you desire.
– We also ask that 6’ physical distancing be observed between families as you go through the food lines.
– Desserts will be served along with ice cream after the main course potluck.
Yours in Christ,
Jon Zupke and the General Board Members
