MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES:

Men’s Theological Reading group will meet this Friday, May 9, 12 Noon at the Old P. O. Restaurant in Sutherland.  We’ll be in the back room.   Read chapter 3 of  “Adopted by God” to prepare for the discussion.  Men, it’s not too late to join us, talk with Pastor Clint if you are interested.

Family Night Tonight at 7:00 PM.  Join us for a special Family Night Service and fellowship tonight as we will hear from Lucas and Teresa Bair.  The Bair’s will share about God’s call for them to go to Brazil to help plant churches.  Bring snacks to share for a time of fellowship.

Men’s Breakfast with Dr. Tim Wester.    Saturday, May 10 there will be a special Men’s Breakfast at The Family Table in Cherokee at 8 AM.  Dr. Tim Wester, Missionary to Central African Republic, will visit with us about life in Africa and God’s Work there.

Join the Westers for coffee and doughnuts.  Sunday morning, May 11, Dr. Tim and Ann Wester will join us during the Sunday School hour and give a report of the Lord’s work in the Central African Republic.  Your favorite doughnuts and coffee will be served as we welcome the Tim and Ann back to Oakdale.

Women, you are invited to take part in the “Just Give Me Jesus” Bible study even if you will not be able to attend the conference.  Please sign up or talk with Christi Patterson if you are interested.

Beach Party Vacation Bible School: People are making their summer plans, so now is the perfect time to be inviting your grandkids, nieces & nephews, friends, and neighbors to our super fun VBS. Beach Part VBS will happen the week of July 14-18, everyday from 9:00am until noon.

Volunteer for Beach Party VBS: We need YOU! We'll need LOTS of volunteers to make this year's VBS run smoothly. If you can help, (we especially need volunteers that can help all 5 days) please contact Mark Anderson. manderson -at- oakdalechurch.com

Pickin' Up Rocks- Some of the grassy areas around the church have a lot of rocks in them. Several people have been working to pick up rocks before lawn-mowing season begins. If you would have some time to volunteer to this project speak to Frew Brown or Mark Anderson. There is a stack of buckets you can use for this project next to the back kitchen door.

Prince Caspian Opening Night Movie Event is Friday night, May 16th. *To take part in this event you must get $8.00 to Mark Anderson by this Wednesday night, May 7th*  Here's what will happen on May 16- we'll meet at Mark Anderson's house in Paullina at 5:30pm for a quick supper of hotdogs & chips, then at 6:00pm we'll hop into some vans and head to Orange City for a 7:00pm showing of the movie.
