MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES:

VOLUNTEERS are needed to mow the old site and Valley View Park depending on when it rains.  A sign up sheet is in the work room.

BAPTISMAL SERVICE:  If you desire to make a public profession of faith in Christ by baptism please talk with Pastor Clint or Pastor Mark.  We are planning a baptismal service for Sunday, August 12. 

VBS Offering- If you would like to contribute financially to help offset the expense of our Vacation Bible School Outreach, please make checks payable to Oakdale C.E. Department and write VBS in the memo line.  Checks can be placed in the Sunday offering.  Thank you.

FAMILY NIGHT tonight at 7:00 pm.  We will hear from Ross Peterson who will be serving in China as well as Les and Catherine DeRoos serving as agricultural missionaries in Nigeria.  We will also welcome  new members Gordon and Pat Andersen, Dave and Sally Carlson, Terri Cullison, Steve and Karen Louscher, and Sherry Shaefer.  There will be a time of fellowship to follow.  Bring a snack to share.

A LOVE OFFERING is being taken the next two weeks for Barb McGee who painted the picture of the old church.  Instead of charging us her normal rate she has agreed to take whatever is donated to her.  There will be a basket by the painting if you wish to make a donation to her.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD--Save your shoeboxes.  Also remember school supplies are on sale now.

THERE WILL BE A SMALL GROUP LEADERS MEETING on August 8^th at 7:00 pm.

ANY ANNOUNCEMENTS that need to be in the August 19^th bulletin need to be given to the secretary by August 14^th as the bulletin will be printed on the 15^th .

CONGRATULATIONS TO Frew and Faith on the new grandson Jaxon Xander Brown born to Jason and Erin Brown on Monday July 23^rd.  Jaxon weighed 10 lbs and is 22 inches long.

Building fund - The board has decided to fund the following unfinished building projects: Landscaping, additional rock and parking, sign for the property, hearing assist system, acoustical treatment for sanctuary, and storage shelves. This will use about half of the funds left. The additional money will go to retire debt. Once the debt is retired additional projects will be considered.

IF YOU DESIRE prayer or spiritual counsel, following the service there will be a couple available to meet with you on the right hand side of the platform.

THERE IS A LOST AND FOUND BOX  in the workroom.  There are some Bibles in it.  If you have misplaced your Bible, check it out.

Attention all Jr. & Sr. High Students!

 Pool Party- All Jr. and Sr. High Students (this includes recent graduates and "rising" 7th graders) are invited to tonight's Student Ministries Second Annual Pool Party! This awesome summer party will happen at the Primghar Pool tonight at 5:30pm. Come for swimmin' and supper. Prizes will be awarded for funniest dive and biggest splash. Bring your friends! It's all FREE!
