MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES:

NO Men’s Theological Reading Group this week.  Our next meeting will be Friday Aprill 13^th at 6:15 AM at The Family Table.  Please read chapter 20 of Knowing God in preparation for the discussion.

GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE  Plan on joining us here at Oakdale for a very special Good Friday Service at 7 PM, as we remember together the death and sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

NEXT SUNDAY MORNING, let’s celebrate the resurrection!  And let’s celebrate the beginning of a new era for Oakdale!  Next Sunday will be our first worship service in the new building!  There will be no Sunday School but come at 9:30 AM for a time of fellowship with coffee and rolls.  Take a look around the new building.  Find the room where you or your children’s Sunday School class will meet.   Be sure to come for a memorable Sunday in Oakdale’s history. 

MUNCHIN’ & MOVIN’ Come join us on Wednesday April 4th as we move from the old building to the new building.  There will be things for all ages to do.  Many hands make the load light.  Dinner will be provided for everyone at 6:00 pm.  At 6:30 we start to move everything, classrooms, library, kitchen, sanctuary, etc.  Bring yourself, a van or pickup if possible, and work as long as you can.  This will be a great time for the family of God to work together to see the result of years of planning and building.

THE CHURCH LIBRARY will be closed until we move into the new church building.  Books can still be returned if you have some checked out.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!!  The dedication of our new building is planned for the weekend of June 8-10^th.

MEN ARE NEEDED to move the pianos on Monday morning April 2^nd at 9:00 am.  We need at least 12 men.  Please come with your strong backs and do not wear belt buckles or button shirts as they could mar the wood as they are moved.  Let Jill or Kent know if you can assist.

HELP NEEDED!  There are two tables that need to be refinished before we move them to the new building.  If you would be interested in doing this project, please talk to Alice Anderson.

Don't forget moving time is Wednesday.  Pickups, boxes and people with strong backs will all be needed.  Come for supper and the big evening.  It will be exciting to finally reach this milestone.

LADIES: Spring is right around the corner and so is our first-of-the-year Women's retreat opportunity. Beth Moore will be leading a “Living Proof” event in Omaha May 11-12 and we already have a block of rooms reserved in anticipation. So mark your calendars and check out the sign-up sheet in the lobby...or see Joan Traylor or Karen Anderson for more details.

Attention all Jr. & Sr. High Students!

Sr. High Small Group meets tonight at 5:00pm in the youth room. We'll be studying session #3 of R.C. Sproul's Choosing My Religion.

On Wednesday, April 4th there will be no youth group, BUT... all students are encouraged to come help with the moving night that starts at 6:00pm at the old building. Youth Group will meet again on April 11th in the new building.
