MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES:

Men’s Theological Reading Group  will meet this Friday, Feb. 8, 6:30 AM at the Family Table in Cherokee.  We will discuss chapter 5 of “The Holiness of God.”

FAMILY NIGHT next Sunday night Feb. 10 at 7:00 PM.  We will have Harold Youtzy, the executive director of the Sioux City Gospel Mission come to give us an update on this ministry of mercy in Sioux City.  There will be a time of fellowship to follow, please bring a snack to share.

OAKDALE 101 is a class designed for those interested in membership here at Oakdale or who just would like to learn more about Oakdale and the Evangelical Free Church in America.  We will offer Oakdale 101 for four weeks on Sunday mornings beginning February 10.  Please sign up for the class in the foyer or talk with Pastor Clint.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS for  "The Cherish House Baby Shower and Luncheon" an up-coming Women's Ministry event on Saturday March 1st at 11:30.  Kathy Holck, from Shepherd's Fold Ministries, Inc. (wife of Pastor Chris Holck-native son of Paullina) will introduce us to Cherish House, "a Christ-centered home to nurture the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of teenage girls and young women who are facing an unplanned pregnancy and other life-controlling problems".  Plan to attend and bring an unwrapped baby gift or a gift for a young mother.           Sign-up in the Foyer. 

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU all for praying for me, and thank you to Pastor Clint and Mark for coming to the emergency room in Sioux City to see me, and praying with me.  My family and I know that prayers were answered and God truly was taking care of me during all of it. I’m feeling better each day and will be going to therapy to help me with building my memory back up, so continue to pray for me. I love you all.  You are a great family to have. Kari Wester

CHRISTIAN SEDER MEAL - Sunday, March 16, at 6:00pm there will be a Seder meal. All ages are invited to experience the Christian significance to the Jewish Passover celebration. Details will follow. Plan now to attend and see how Christ is foretold throughout the Passover story.

SERMON ALA CARTE starts Wednesday February 6^th at 12:05.  Theme for 2008 “The Symbols of Lent”.  Pastor Clint will be speaking on March 12^th.  Sign up sheet in foyer for 15 salads, 7 pans of bars, and 6 workers.

Attention all Jr. & Sr. High Students!

SUPER BOWL PARTY! Attention High School Students! Join us TONIGHT starting at 4:30pm for a Super Bowl Party at Mark & Karen Anderson's house. Bring your favorite Super Bowl snack to add to the food table. We'll have a great time just hanging out and watching the game. See you tonight!

Youth Group: All Jr. High and High school students are encouraged to join us for youth group on Wednesday night at 7:00pm. There will be worship, food, fun, and a Bible study titled, "What is Man?"
