MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES:

Men’s Theological Reading Group  will meet this Friday, Feb. 22, 6:30 AM at the Family Table in Cherokee.  We will discuss chapter 7 of “The Holiness of God.” 

John Gerhardt from Urban Impact in New Orleans will be here Sunday morning, March 2.  He will be sharing with us during the Sunday School hour and will give the message in our morning worship service.

Hidden Acres Family Night with Camp Director Earl Taylor will be held Sunday, March 9 at 7 PM.  Earl will give us a report on what the Lord has done at Hidden Acres, our Free Church District camp.  There will be a fellowship to follow.

Christian Comedy Night: The Albert City Evangelical Free Church will be hosting Christian comedian Darren Streblow at the Laurens Marathon High School auditorium tonight. This is an all ages show that is open to everyone. Doors open at 6:30pm. Show starts at 7:00pm. Tickets are $10 at the door.

CHRISTIAN SEDER MEAL on Sunday, March 16, at 6:00pm. All ages are invited to experience the Christian significance to the Jewish Passover celebration. Details will follow. Plan now to attend and see how Christ is foretold throughout the Passover story.

WOMEN!  Come one, come all to the Women's Ministry Annual Meeting!!  You don't have to be an Oakdale Member to take part - just be female!  We're meeting here at the church on Monday, February 25th at 7pm for fun, fellowship, election of officers, and a chance to hear about what's going on in Women's Ministry and how you can get plugged in.

SERMON ALA CARTE every Wednesday at 12:05.  Theme for 2008 “The Symbols of Lent”.  Pastor Clint will be speaking on March 12^th.  Sign up sheet in foyer for 15 salads, 7 pans of bars, and 6 workers.

Attention all Jr. & Sr. High Students!

Comedy Road Trip: If you purchased a ticket for the Comedy Road Trip you need to be at the church ready to leave at 5:00pm sharp (don't be late.) If you didn't buy a ticket please don't show up hoping to go along, we don't have any extra seats available. We'll head to Cherokee to get a quick bite to eat at McDonalds (bring some extra $$.) Cherokee people can meet us at McDonalds at 5:15pm (don't be late.) Then we'll head to Laurens for the big comedy show. We should get home around 9:30pm.

Youth Group: Hey Jr. High and High School students, don't miss youth group this coming Wednesday night at 7:00pm. There will be food, fun, and the next lesson in our 20 Basics series called, "What is Sin?" See you Wednesday!

Movie & Ministry "National Treasure" Event is next Sunday night, Feb. 24. We'll meet at Mark & Karen's house in Paullina at 6:00pm for a light supper and Bible study called, "Jesus, A Treasure More Valuable Than Words." Then we'll head to the Wonderland Theater for a 7:30pm showing of National Treasure: Book of Secrets. Movie admission is $2.50 per person.
