MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES:

Men’s Theological Reading Group  will meet this Friday, Feb. 15, 6:30 AM at the Family Table in Cherokee.  We will discuss chapter 6 of “The Holiness of God.”

FAMILY NIGHT tonight at 7:00 PM.  We will have Harold Youtzy, the executive director of the Sioux City Gospel Mission come to give us an update on this ministry of mercy in Sioux City.  There will be a time of fellowship to follow, please bring a snack to share.

Christian Comedy Night: The Albert City Evangelical Free Church will be hosting Christian comedian Darren Streblow at the Laurens Marathon High School auditorium next Sunday night, Feb. 17. This is an all ages show that is open to everyone. Doors open at 6:30pm. Show starts at 7:00pm. Tickets are $8 in advance ($5 for a group of 10 or more) or $10 at the door. Contact Albert City EFC to get more information or to purchase tickets.

CHRISTIAN SEDER MEAL - Sunday, March 16, at 6:00pm there will be a Seder meal. All ages are invited to experience the Christian significance to the Jewish Passover celebration. Details will follow. Plan now to attend and see how Christ is foretold throughout the Passover story.

WOMEN!  Come one, come all to the Women's Ministry Annual Meeting!!  You don't have to be an Oakdale Member to take part - just be female!  We're meeting here at the church on Monday, February 25th at 7pm for fun, fellowship, election of officers, and a chance to hear about what's going on in Women's Ministry and how you can get plugged in.  See you there!

Attention all Jr. & Sr. High Students!

Youth Group Abstinence Night: Make sure you're here this coming Wednesday at 7:00pm for a special abstinence themed night at youth group. There will be lots of yummy munchies and we'll watch an awesome DVD by world renowned abstinence educator Pam Stenzel. This session is for all Jr. high and high school students and their friends. See you Wednesday!

Comedy Road Trip: All Jr. high and high school students are invited to join Mark Anderson for a special "Comedy Road Trip" next Sunday night, Feb. 17. We'll leave from the church parking lot at 5pm, get some McDonalds in Cherokee, then head to the Laurens Marathon High School for a hilarious night of comedy with Christian comedian Darren Streblow. If you want to be a part of the Comedy Road Trip you have to get $5 to Mark by this Wednesday (Feb. 13) so he can get you a ticket. You must sign up in advance to be a part of this event.
