MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES:

Men’s Theological Reading Group  will be starting a new book in January!  Men, if you would like to join us as we read, “The Holiness of God.” by R. C. Sproul please talk with Pastor Clint.  Our next meeting will be Friday, Jan. 11, 6:30 AM at the Family Table in Cherokee.  We will discuss chapter 1 of “The Holiness of God.”

Prayer Emphasis Week.   Beginning January 6 we will have a prayer emphasis week here at Oakdale.  We are planning to hold special prayer meetings here on Sunday, Jan 6 – Wednesday Jan 9 beginning at 7 PM.  We will have our regular Wednesday night program, but with an emphasis on prayer.  Come and help us seek the Lord for the good of our church and our world.

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS! Please join us for Sunday School in the fellowship hall today. Various young adults are "home" and will be sharing about their service to God's Kingdom. It will be an enjoyable time of mutual encouragement!

COME ONE COME ALL FOR AN EVENING of Good Food and Fun!  Saturday night December 29^th at 6:30 pm.  Bring your favorite Swedish dish.  (If your favorite Swedish dish is your wife, you get extra points!)  If you don’t have one that’s OK, bring whatever favorite Christmas dish you would like to share.  The lutefisk has already been caught and will be provided.

A BLACK MEN’S full length dress coat with leather gloves in the pockets was taken by mistake 2 weeks ago.  A women ‘s size 16 was left behind.  Please check your closet to see if you took this coat accidentally.

DEAR OAKDALE CHURCH FAMILY

Thank you very much for your generous financial gift.  We are thankful for the help towards our academic costs.  It is amazing to think I have one semester left.  Both Erin and I are excited to move on into ministry.  Thanks for being a supportive church of ministry and education.  I can only hope to serve a church with a heart as big as Oakdale’s.
