MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES:

Men’s Theological Reading Group will meet this Friday, November 9 at The Family Table in Cherokee for breakfast and discussion at 6:30 AM.  Please read chapter 1 of “Why Does God Allow War?”.

Family Night Service next Sunday night!  Plan to join us next Sunday evening at Oakdale as EFCA Missionaries Woody and Sherry Winters will share about their ministry in Mongolia.  We will have a time of fellowship to follow the service.

For this year’s Thanksgiving offering you have a choice.  You may designate your offering to go towards the Hidden Acres new construction project, “the Motel Lodge,” or you may designate your check to help retire our debt on the new building.  All undesignated funds will be divided up between Hidden Acres and our building fund.

ATTENTION ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS  - We need a good quality copy of the painting that is on the sanctuary wall in the old building. In the next few weeks please contact Verdene or Pastor Clint for a key to the old building and photograph that painting. Finished copies can been given to Gene Petersen.

THE GENERAL BOARD has voted to support Kelly & Kory Capps during their time in seminary. We will be sending them each $1000.00 per year. If you would like to give to help with this please mark your checks (Capps-seminary) in the memo line and put in to any offering.

GENERAL FUND: The general fund has been running urgently tight for the last couple of months.  If you are able, please help us finish the year strong.  Mark you checks for the general fund and give generously as God provides.

WALKING MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY – Some have shown an interest in walking the hallways of Oakdale during the cold months for exercise.  If you are interested in leading such a ministry, please speak with Gene Petersen.

NOMINATION WORKSHEETS ARE BEING DISTRIBUTED.   If you are a member, be sure to pick yours up at the Welcome Table.

JOHN & DONNA BEIER have consented to care for all the plants inside the building.  They will do all the watering, etc.

 Youth Group- All Jr. High and High School Students (and their friends) are invited to join us for youth group this Wednesday night at 7:00pm. There will be Bible study, food, fun, and prayer. See you Wednesday night!

Attention High School Students: The Movie and Ministry Small Group Event that was scheduled for tonight has been postponed. Watch for another Movie and Ministry night coming later this month.
