MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES:

Men’s Theological Reading Group will begin November 2.  This year we will be reading two classic but brief books together, “Why Does God Allow War?” by D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones, and “The Holiness of God” by R. C. Sproul.  We will meet together Friday mornings at 6:30 AM for breakfast and discussion in Cherokee.  There is a sign-up sheet in the foyer.

WALKING MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY – Some have shown an interest in walking the hallways of Oakdale during the cold months for exercise.  If you are interested in leading such a ministry, please speak with Gene Petersen.

HELP! Dozens of adult volunteers are needed on Sunday, October 21st for Oakdale Student Ministries' Extreme Hayride. Last year several small groups volunteered as a group to help out. What a great idea! Please help. We  need lots of adults. We need kitchen help, safety monitors, game helpers, drivers, and much more. Talk to Mark Anderson and he'll give you a job. Trucks, Racks, Trailers, & Hay: We need people to bring sturdy hayracks and trailers for October 21st's Extreme Hayride. We also need pick-up trucks and people to drive them. We're also looking for LOTS of straw and hay bales. If you can help in any of these ways, please contact Eric Ivarson or Mark Anderson as soon as possible. Thanks for your help!

Attention all Jr. & Sr. High Students!

 Movie & Ministry Small Group Night: All High School Students are encouraged to join us tonight at 5:00pm for our second Movie & Ministry Small Group Night. We'll meet here at the church in the youth room. Our feature presentation "The Second Chance" will begin shortly after 5:00pm. There will be popcorn and supper will be provided during our Bible study time.

Extreme Hayride: Our biggest event of the year is just around the corner! This event is open to all Jr. High and High School students. Invite ALL of your friends! Here's what you need to bring for the Extreme Hayride on Sunday, October 21st:

Boys: Bring 1 (or more) Bags of Chips and at least 1 bottle of Pop.

Girls: Bring Cookies and/or Bars and at least 1 bottle of Pop.

Youth Group: Join us Wednesday night at 7:00pm for part 2 of "What is God Like?" Your friends are always welcome.

Sparks Concert: Students won't want to miss the Greg & Rebecca Sparks Concert on Saturday, October 27th at 7:00pm. Let your friends and family know that this is a concert everyone will like. The youth group will be having a special "Pre-Show Pizza Party" that night at 5:30pm. Don't miss it!
